Picnic Area Reservations

 

RESERVATION INSTRUCTIONS

 
   

 

Picnic Sites may be reserved by Rossmoor Residents only. Rossmoor residents may secure a permit for their event by registering online and completing the online payment and reservation process; which includes submitting an online application at least 10 days prior to the scheduled event date. Proof of residency is required. Applications are processed on a first come, first served basis and may be emailed, faxed or delivered in person. All picnic sites can be rented in any of the following eight-hour time blocks: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm; 9:00 am - 5:00 pm; 10:00 am - 6:00 pm; and 11:00 am - 7:00 pm. (summertime only). Reservations cannot exceed eight hours. Reservation fees for each site are listed below. Reserved signs and permit will be granted once all fees are paid.

All picnic site reservations are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Non residents may use any non reserved, picnic sites on a first-come, first-serve basis.
All groups over 50 must obtain a permit to gather and sign the District's indemnification.

Picnic Canopy Site A

Canopy A is our largest and only covered Picnic Area. This picnic site has 11 picnic tables (seats approx 100 people) and 5 BBQ Grills. Field and bounce houses may be rented for a separate fee (see list of approved vendors). Nearby Tot Lot and ample green space for every occasion. There is a mandatory nonrefundable $20 application fee. The rental fee is $50 per 8 hour block and is required for exclusive use of the shelter. (A $60 picnic deposit will apply to all groups over 100). A $15 Bounce House Fee will be charged for events requesting a jumper. Only standard sized jumpers are allowed. *Groups of over 50 people are required to rent both Site B & Site C (side by side).

This picnic site has 6 picnic tables (seats 70 people) and 3 BBQ Grills. Also, gives direct access to the walking trail and playground. There is a mandatory nonrefundable $20 application fee.The rental fee is $25 per 8 hour block and is required for exclusive use of the picnic area. (A $60 picnic deposit will apply to all groups over 100). A $15 Bounce House Fee will be charged for events requesting a jumper. Only standard sized jumpers are allowed. *Groups of over 50 people are required to rent both Site B & Site C (side by side).

There is a mandatory nonrefundable $20 application fee. The rental fee is $25 per 8 hour block and is required for exclusive use of the picnic area. (A $60 picnic deposit will apply to all groups over 100). A $15 Bounce House Fee will be charged for events requesting a jumper. Only standard sized jumpers are allowed.

There is a mandatory nonrefundable $20 application fee. The rental fee is $25 per 8 hour block and is required for exclusive use of the picnic area. (A $60 picnic deposit will apply to all groups over 100). A $15 Bounce House Fee will be charged for events requesting a jumper. Only standard sized jumpers are allowed.

PICNIC AREA RENTAL GUIDELINES 
 
  • Permits will be issued on a first-come, first-serve basis.
  • Any event in which 50 people or more will be present requires a permit.
  • Groups of 150 or more must apply for a Special Event permit and provide evidence of liability insurance in the amount of $1,000,000.


HOURS OF USE
  • All picnics are limited to 8 hours including setup/cleanup time-NO EXCEPTIONS Outdoor events may not begin prior to 8:00 am; including setup 
  • Park closes at dusk SETUP/CLEANUP. 
  • Group is responsible for cleaning area and securing trash near trash receptacles. Do not leave trash cans overflowing. Please bring additional trash bags.


BOUNCE HOUSES
 
  • There are no bounce houses allowed in Rossmoor’s Parks without first securing a permit for a picnic area and obtaining prior authorization. 
  • Bounce House can be selected from our approved list of vendors or an outside vendor can submit a $1,000,000 liability insurance certificate naming the Rossmoor Community Services District as additionally insured (please contact RCSD office for more information). 
  • Only standard-sized bounce houses are allowed in Rossmoor’s Parks (no obstacle courses or large slides). 
  • Only 1 bounce house per reservation. 
  • Max of 2 bounce houses allowed in the park at any time. 
  • No water bounce houses. 


LASER TAG
  • Permits for laser tag will be issued with a picnic site and field rental only. 
  • Laser Tag company can be selected from our approved list of vendors or outside vendors can submit a $1,000,000 liability insurance certificate naming the Rossmoor Community Services District as additionally insured (please contact RCSD office for more information).


PARK RULES
  • NO VEHICLES ALLOWED IN PARKS AT ANY TIME. 
  • Use of Propane backyard BBQs require prior approval. 
  • NO AMPLIFIED MUSIC OR SOUND in Rossmoor’s Parks. 
  • NO ALCHOHOL OR SMOKING in parks or facilities. 
  • Dogs must remain on a leash at all times. 
  • Group is responsible for making sure party guests comply with parking regulations. Please abide by 'No Parking' signs at Rossmoor Park.
